Other points of discussion included the authorisation of a public consultation for a draft Utility Infrastructure Strategy and the designation of a proposed Barbican and Golden Lane neighbourhood forum and neighbourhood area.
A proposed conservation area in Creechurch was also debated in particular the scope of community engagement, however following discussion with officers all motions were passed and the public consultation for the scheme was approved.
It was noted in Committee papers that the City Corporation’s Sustainability SPD is still underway and will go to Committee later in the year, prior to public consultation.
The meeting concluded with the Committee discussing the City Corporation’s policy approach to biodiversity and ecology, ultimately agreeing that a more formal approach to the process would be beneficial.
